Hotel Kockska Gården

Hotel Kockska Gården is a small 3-star hotel with a fantastic location in the middle of Simrishamn. Österlen's only town, where the houses are low and the streets of stone.

The hotel is housed in what has been, since it was built, the city's most important merchant's farm. A half-timbered farm right at the customs to Simrishamn.

The farm dates back to the late 1600s and over the years many famous people have stayed here as guests during their visit to Österlen. Among others, a certain Carl Linnaeus who stayed here during his Scanian journey in 1749.

A lot has happened since then, but making our guests feel at home when they visit Simrishamn - the capital of Österlen - is still the most important thing for us.

Our courtyard, which used to be perfect for "parking" your horse, is now perfect for parking completely different types of vehicles with significantly more horsepower. As a guest with us, you park your car free of charge in the courtyard. For those who have an electric car, we have a separate parking lot just around the corner (200 m from the hotel) where you can charge your car overnight without having to worry about additional parking fees. And even closer, ICA has fast chargers (up to kW 360) for those who forgot to charge their car overnight.

Cozy at Kockska

Enjoy a book in front of the crackling fireplace or relax in our cozy garden. Take a walk to the beach and cool off with an evening dip or warm up in our sauna before you crawl into bed in one of our rooms housed in what used to be the country's longest grain loft.

Breakfast

Breakfast in Österlen. As a breakfast in Österlen should be. Filled with goodies from the area. We pick up the Brantevik herring and the mustard engraved down in the harbor at Sjöfolket. The farmer's pantry is stocked with local delicacies, while the freshly baked bread and buns come from the bakery next door. And best of all - the granola and seed crackers - we make them ourselves. Weather permitting, breakfast is best and longest enjoyed in the hotel garden.

A real Scanian garden.

When the weather permits, our Austrian breakfast buffet is best enjoyed in the hotel's small cozy garden. Designed and planted by landscape architect Helge Lundström - also the creator of Äppeltavlan in Kivik.

Even late summer evenings, the garden becomes the natural gathering place for our guests. The medlars and parasols offer shade. And the hollyhocks on the fence...
